REARDAN, Washington – A Gonzaga University baseball coach pleaded guilty to reckless driving, stemming from an arrest for DUI in the town of Reardan last summer.
Reardan Police arrested Mark Machtolf in June and court documents show he had a blood alcohol level of .284, which is three and a half times the legal limit.
In late November, prosecutors reached an agreement with Machtolf.
He pleaded guilty to an amended charge of reckless driving.
Machtolf was ordered to serve 364 days in jail with all but two of those days suspended.
Court records show he’s been ordered to report to jail to serve those days on December 9th.
A judge also ordered Machtolf to pay $1500 in fines and 24 months probation.
He’s also ordered to undergo an alcohol evaluation, complete any recommended treatment and complete a victim’s impact panel.
