Jake Paul savaged a no-show Tommy Fury at their pre-fight press convention, calling him a ‘flake’ and ‘scared’ and claiming he’s by no means been examined.
Paul was in Saudi Arabia, the placement of their February 26 bout that appears to lastly go forward on the third time of asking.
Tommy, the youthful brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, had beforehand pulled out of a combat with an harm, and he was later denied entry to the US.
With no excuses left, their long-running dispute seems to be to lastly be resolved in Diriyah, however the trash-talking has already been postponed with Fury lacking the press convention as a consequence of a ‘personal matter’.
Paul took it upon himself to make the media look field workplace even with out his competitor, but it surely was simple to see that he was fuming to have been left alone.
“I’m used to his behaviour at this level,” he stated. “He’s unprofessional, he’s a flake, he’s not a severe businessman, he’s not a severe fighter.
“I’m going to show that, that’s why this combat known as the reality, as a result of the reality goes to come back out.
“He’s going to must pay for all of the occasions he pulled out, all of the enterprise folks he screwed over.
“It’s disrespectful, they’re some of the biggest names in boxing and biggest promoters in the world, some of the most influential people in the world, one of the greatest countries in the world and he doesn’t want to show up because of a private matter. Cool.
“We all have private matters, when you sign up to do something and you make a commitment that’s what it should be about and it just shows me that he’s scared.
“He said he didn’t need to train for this fight, ‘oh I could fight Jake Paul and I don’t even need to train’ when his excuse first was that he had to train extra for this fight and now apparently it’s a private matter so it’s typical Fury stuff.
“I love Tyson but I’m saying the dad [John] and Tommy, it’s typical from them.”
Paul was then asked how he sees the fight going, and again, he didn’t hold back.
“I’m knocking him out, four rounds or less, bet the house on it, put your mortgage on it,” he began.
“He couldn’t knock out Daniel Bocianski, a taxi driver, in six rounds. The guy doesn’t have power, he couldn’t knock out Anthony Taylor, couldn’t even wobble him, couldn’t even hurt him, Anthony Taylor was 25lbs less than the guy. The guy doesn’t have a high KO percentage.
“Normally I build up my opponents but it’s just hard, I’m just telling the truth. People are going to see, they’re going to be astonished I guess.
“The kid’s never been tested, he’s never been in a hard fight, his combined record of opponents is 20 wins, 200 losses, he’s never been eight rounds, he’s never been in there with a dog.
“I have something to prove, I have two championships on my shoulder, people say I have a chip on my shoulder, I’ve got two of them.
“He’s been spoon fed his whole entire life, piggybacked off his brother, got into the business because that’s what he was supposed to do, got famous off of some reality show [Love Island] and now he’s just riding the wave, trying to get a paycheck so that Molly [Mae Hague, his girlfriend] isn’t the one making all the money in the relationship.
“I’m going to show him on February 26 that this is the hurt business, he’s not going to like this sport after I’m done with him.”
